**Job Title** Quantitative Research Intern **Role Summary** Engage in a 12‑week, summer‑internship focused on data‑driven analysis, modeling, and tool development to support strategic decision‑making in financial markets. Work with quantitative researchers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to transform large datasets into actionable insights through predictive models, dashboards, and automated workflows. **Expactations** - Complete a substantive research or modeling project with measurable business impact. - Collaborate cross‑functionally to define data requirements and business objectives. - Deliver clear, data‑based recommendations in a final presentation. - Maintain rigorous documentation of methodologies, code, and findings. **Key Responsibilities** - Analyze large‑scale, structured and semi‑structured financial datasets. - Develop statistical or machine‑learning models to forecast or optimize market and operational outcomes. - Create interactive dashboards or reporting tools to visualize performance metrics. - Automate data ingestion, cleaning, and preprocessing pipelines. - Present analytical results and strategic insights to research and product teams. - Seek and incorporate feedback to iterate on models and tools. **Required Skills** - Strong analytical and quantitative problem‑solving ability. - Proficient in Python (pandas, NumPy, SciPy, scikit‑learn) and SQL for data manipulation and analysis. - Experience with statistical analysis, regression, hypothesis testing, and model evaluation. - Ability to document code, processes, and findings clearly and concisely. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills; adept at presenting technical results to non‑technical audiences. **Required Education & Certifications** - Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science). - Minimum GPA of 3.0 (or equivalent academic performance standard). - No scheduled graduation before December of the internship year. ---
