Job Summary
This leading Manchester-headquartered Compliance team is seeking a dynamic Cyber Legal Compliance Advisor with a strong focus on Cyber, Privacy, and Data Protection law. The successful candidate will lead this specialized offering to clients, both internally and externally, as the Cyber, Privacy, and Data Protection team continues to grow. This role involves high-level, quality work exposed to global markets, covering cyber breach response, data security, and more.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the Cyber, Privacy, and Data Protection offerings for clients, both in the UK and internationally.
Develop and expand the team, identifying opportunities to secure work with existing and new clients.
Deliver expert advice on a variety of matters, including cyber breach response, data security, cyber disputes, threat intelligence, data protection law, privacy compliance, legal tech, privacy tech, and cross-border issues.
Collaborate closely with legal experts, ensuring alignment with industry standards and legal requirements.
Provide thought leadership in Cyber, Privacy, and Data Protection law through seminars, presentations, and publications.
Engage in continuous professional development to stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in the field.
Qualifications
A degree in Law or a related field, preferably with a specialization in Cyber, Privacy, and Data Protection law.
Deep industry knowledge and technical skills across Privacy and Cyber law.
Proven experience in leading and expanding legal teams.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a drive to develop new business opportunities.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex information to both legal and non-legal audiences.
Willingness to undertake international travel as required.
