Job Title: Business Development Manager – Partnerships & Retail (Independent Contractor) Role Summary: Independent contractor responsible for expanding a boutique wellness brand’s retail footprint and wholesale partnerships. Drives outreach, pitches, negotiates, and closes agreements with boutique stores, wellness studios, spas, cafés, and complementary lifestyle brands. Expectations: - Commission‑only compensation: 10% of each closed wholesale deal. - Self‑directed workload with measurable pipeline and revenue targets. - Ability to operate remotely and represent the brand professionally at virtual and occasional in‑person events. Key Responsibilities: - Identify, research, and prioritize prospective retail accounts and partnership opportunities. - Present the brand’s product line, brand story, and value proposition to potential partners. - Negotiate terms, finalize contracts, and secure signed agreements. - Collaborate on joint events, co‑branding activations, and subscription box initiatives with allied brands. - Maintain accurate tracking of outreach, deal status, and commission calculations in a CRM or shared dashboard. Required Skills: - Proven business development, sales, or partnership experience in CPG, wellness, beauty, or retail sectors. - Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills. - Independent work ethic with strategic outreach and self‑management capabilities. - Familiarity with commission‑based compensation models and pipeline management tools. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree preferred (business, marketing, or related field). - No mandatory certifications required; experience in the relevant industry is essential.
