Job Description
Job Title: Apprentice Assistant – Oenotourism & Events Role Summary: Support the oenotourism department of a high‑end wine estate. Handle client greeting, sales, and store operations; lead wine tastings and tours in French and English; assist in planning and executing events; contribute to developing tourism and accommodation offers. Expectations: - Enrolled in an apprenticeship (Bac + 3/4) with a valid contract. - Willing to work Saturdays, evenings, and weekends during the summer season. - Demonstrate real passion for wine and hospitality. - Deliver premium customer service and maintain a professional image. Key Responsibilities: - Greet and advise private clientele; manage point‑of‑sale transactions and inventory control. - Coordinate restocking, price updates, and stock monitoring for the boutique. - Conduct guided tours and wine tastings in French and English, emphasizing product knowledge and storytelling. - Assist in planning, running, and evaluating events such as tasting workshops, after‑works, concerts, and private parties. - Contribute to the creation and promotion of oenotourism products: tasting clubs, event packages, and partnership outreach. - Support seasonal accommodation marketing, including rental bookings and wedding service promotion. - Maintain operational readiness of event spaces and store premises. Required Skills: - Strong interpersonal and communication skills in French; fluent in English (mandatory). - Commercial acumen with a focus on premium hospitality. - Initiative, organization, accuracy, and the ability to work autonomously. - Basic computer literacy for point‑of‑sale and event planning tools. - Adaptability to weekend and evening working hours. Required Education & Certifications: - Bac + 3/4 level education with an apprenticeship contract. - No specific wine certification required, but genuine interest in wine is essential. - English proficiency at least at B2 level.
