Job Description: **Job Title:** Full Stack Engineer **Role Summary:** Senior full‑stack engineer responsible for end‑to‑end development of a UK‑based end‑of‑life platform. Works closely with product, design, and the CTO to define problems, build features, and maintain the WordPress‑based platform, AWS/Docker infrastructure, and internal integrations. **Expactations:** - Within 6 months the WordPress platform is stable, well‑documented, and showing measurable performance improvements. - New product features are released consistently without adding technical debt. - Codebase is cleaner, better understood, and easier to maintain. - Actively influences product and design decisions as a trusted technical voice. **Key Responsibilities:** - Own full product cycle from discovery to delivery, collaborating with product and design. - Maintain and modernize the WordPress platform (performance, security, plugins, staging). - Reduce technical debt in legacy Laravel/PHP codebases. - Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications on AWS using Docker containers. - Build and sustain integrations with internal tools (e.g., HubSpot, ClickUp). - Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or GitLab CI). - Contribute to exploratory product work and early problem definition. **Required Skills:** - 6+ years full‑stack development experience with Laravel/PHP and React or Next.js. - Deep hands‑on knowledge of WordPress architecture, performance tuning, and security. - Proficient with AWS services and Docker containerization. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions/GitLab CI). - Ability to make architectural decisions in small, fast‑moving teams. - Comfortable using AI‑assisted coding tools and exercising judgment on their output. - Self‑directed, comfortable with ambiguity, and commercially aware. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field **or** equivalent professional experience. - No specific certifications required; AWS familiarity expected.
