Job Description
**Job title:** Account Director – Global Sporting Event **Role Summary:** Lead end‑to‑end planning and delivery of premium hospitality programmes for two major U.S. sporting events (2026, 2028). Manage large‑scale projects from concept to execution, ensuring world‑class guest experiences and strong client relationships within a fast‑paced, high‑performance environment. **Expectations:** - Deliver complex, high‑profile hospitality projects on time and within budget. - Maintain and grow relationships with senior client stakeholders, venue managers, and governing bodies. - Demonstrate commercial acumen and drive continuous improvement in programme delivery. **Key Responsibilities:** - Project‑manage planning and operational delivery of client hospitality programmes. - Create, monitor, and report on budgets; ensure financial targets are met. - Serve as primary client liaison, advising on timelines, deliverables, and deadlines. - Coordinate stakeholder engagement and collaboration with Hotel, Ticketing, Ticketing, FB, Transport, Premiums, Print & Production, onsite offices, accreditation, and staffing departments. - Develop and manage guest experience strategy aligned with client objectives and local market insights. - Lead internal iLUKA team (Programme Managers, external consultants) and oversee wider team requirements. - Evaluate performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement best practices. - Maximise supplier relationships commercially and deliver excellence in service. **Required Skills:** - Proven experience in sports event management or experiential hospitality at an international level. - Extensive project management experience with complex, multi‑disciplinary programmes. - Strong stakeholder management skills with senior public/private sector clients and sport governing bodies. - Experience in sponsorship rights delivery and activation. - Budgeting, resource planning, and commercial acumen. - Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship‑building abilities. - Ability to work under pressure, prioritise demanding workloads, and deliver quality outcomes. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Events Management, Hospitality, Business, or related field (preferred). - Professional project management certification (PMP, Prince2, or equivalent) highly desirable. ---
