Job Description
Job Title: Business Development Executive Role Summary: Expand the HORECA channel by acquiring new customers and increasing distribution of a portfolio of hygiene products. Manage an independent sales diary, balance prospecting with existing client visits, and drive measurable sales growth. Expectations: - Deliver measurable increases in new customer sign‑ups, distribution points, and order volume. - Operate independently, maintain high productivity, and demonstrate resilience in a target‑driven environment. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct field visits to hotels, restaurants, pubs, and other hospitality venues. - Identify and develop new business opportunities within the HORECA segment. - Manage and update a sales diary, prioritising prospecting and client follow‑ups. - Build and maintain strong customer relationships, delivering persuasive pitches and closing sales. - Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets and report progress to management. - Collaborate with marketing and logistics teams to ensure product availability and service quality. - Provide feedback on market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs. Required Skills: - Proven field sales experience in FMCG or foodservice (AFH) channel. - Strong cold‑calling, pitching and closing abilities. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Self‑starter with strong time‑management and organisational skills. - Resilience, growth mindset, and adaptability to a high‑performance team. - Ability to analyse sales data and use CRM tools effectively. - Valid manual driving licence (no more than 6 points). Required Education & Certifications: - Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths; higher secondary qualification preferred. - Relevant sales or customer‑service certifications (e.g., Certified Sales Professional) valued.
