Job Description
Job title: Insurance Investment Strategy Intern Role Summary: Short‑term internship supporting the Insurance Investment Strategy Team in enhancing peer analytics, leveraging AI tools, and conducting trend and market intelligence analyses within the broader investment research function. Expactations: • 9‑week summer program with a hybrid work model. • Ownership of specific projects, regular progress updates to senior analysts. • Active learning of insurance industry, regulatory filings, and portfolio analytics. • Deliver clean, accurate reports and presentations for internal and client use. Key Responsibilities: 1. Optimize and maintain an Excel‑based peer analytics model for efficiency and reliability. 2. Extract and compile data from regulatory filings (NAIC, state codes) and asset‑allocation trends. 3. Conduct liquidity and asset‑class trend analyses across private credit, mortgages, infrastructure, asset‑based finance, and CLOs. 4. Use AI tools to create peer study slide decks and generate investment narratives. 5. Produce periodic market‑intelligence reports drawing from press, rating agencies, and regulatory sources. 6. Validate data, proofread reports, and ensure presentation quality before delivery. Required Skills: - Advanced proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint. - Experience using AI coding or automation tools to support investment research. - Strong data analysis, organization, and attention‑to‑detail. - Excellent written communication and ability to convey technical concepts clearly. - Curiosity and adaptive thinking to improve internal processes. - Familiarity with S&P Capital IQ or similar research platforms (preferred). Required Education & Certifications: - Current enrollment in an accredited college or university (any major, preferably finance, economics, business, or analytics).
