Job Description
Job Title: Head of Business Operations Role Summary: Owns and scales the company’s business operations platform, translating strategy into data‑driven workflows, ensuring data integrity, and enabling predictive decision‑making across Sales, Production, and Leadership. Expectations: • All core workflows documented, scalable, and governed by SOPs with defined entrance/exit criteria. • Operational reporting shifts from ad‑hoc to predictive, delivering automated alerts for churn risk and bottlenecks. • Administrative overhead for sales and production staff is measurably reduced through intuitive workflow design and automation. • Data integrity enforced by automated validation gates; schema changes follow formal change control without disruption. • Cross‑team handoffs show measurable reductions in rework or delays. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct stakeholder interviews to extract complex business logic and translate into workflow pipelines, binary gates, and automation triggers. • Treat internal tools as a product; conduct user research to ensure intuitive, friction‑free workflows for staff. • Act as liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to align system logic with strategic goals. • Define, mandate, and manage the company’s data dictionary and SOPs, ensuring a unified language across functions. • Own configuration and architecture of the operating platform (e.g., Monday.com), preventing schema drift and managing change control. • Translate business objectives into system rules, automations, and scalable operating structures that generate actionable data. • Build decision‑grade operational dashboards and reports; own weekly business reviews to refine insights. • Serve as final decision authority on operating system structure, data definitions, workflow stage gating, and approval of system changes affecting data integrity. Required Skills: • Systems thinking with a focus on downstream impacts of upstream changes. • Pragmatic architecture – balancing rigorous constraints with business utility. • Operational excellence – ability to enforce process compliance across diverse teams. • Product ownership mindset; experience managing internal tools as products. • Strong stakeholder management and cross‑functional communication. • Expertise in platform configuration (e.g., Monday.com) and automation rules. • Data analysis proficiency; ability to design KPI dashboards and predictive reporting. • Change management and governance experience. Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Information Systems, or related field. • 5+ years of progressive operations or business systems management experience. • PMP, Scrum, or Six Sigma certification preferred.
