Job Description
Job Title: Design Engineer (Mechanical) Role Summary: Design Engineer responsible for creating and refining mechanical designs for production using SolidWorks, progressing approved models into manufacturable DXF files, and coordinating with cross‑functional teams to ensure efficient production flow. Expectations: - Deliver accurate 3D models and drawings within project timelines. - Translate design concepts into production‑ready files. - Maintain compliance with internal procedures and data protection policies. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with the design team to propose and develop product ideas. - Produce detailed SolidWorks models and drawings for customer approval. - Convert approved designs into DXF files for laser cutting. - Liaise with manufacturing, quality, and logistics departments to resolve design inquiries. - Report directly to the Production Office Supervisor. - Manage design processes following established procedures. - Ensure all activities comply with General Data Protection Regulation and internal data protection policies. Required Skills: - Prior experience in mechanical, sheet metal, or manufacturing design roles. - Proficient in SolidWorks; familiarity with Excel and Radan. - Strong written and verbal communication. - High attention to detail and good organizational skills. - Health and safety awareness. - Reliable timekeeping and attendance. Required Education & Certifications: - Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline. - Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP) preferred but not mandatory.
