Desktop Support Engineer/ Technician

6-month initial contract - extendable

5 days per week onsite - central Paris

Fluency in written and spoken French and English will be required for this role due to the international nature of the business.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Desktop Support Engineer/ Technician with an established and growing global organization in the financial sector based onsite in central Paris.

In this role you will provide Desktop Support to the organizations staff within London and EMEA. The role seeks an individual with experience owning and driving end user hardware and end point technology road map with the ability to present technical evaluations and proposals to senior management. You will need good experience with ServiceNow, building and maintaining dashboards and reporting looking at fleet health and service trends.

Key responsibilities:

IT hardware incident and task fulfilment to end-users (predominantly Lenovo/ apple)
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues efficiently and professionally
Printer support and configuration
High level of knowledge and support experience of hardware, software, security, networks, internet, storage, and some understanding of service desk
Experience with problem and change management procedures
Maintain ITSM records via ServiceNow, including incidents, requests, and asset tracking
Liaise with global teams and external vendors to coordinate solutions
Support office moves and meeting room setups
Champion service quality and proactively improve documentation and support processes

What you'll bring:

Proven background within Desktop Support in corporate environments
Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Active Directory
iOS and Android device support via MDM - Intune
LANDesk/Ivanti, Citrix, Zoom, MS Teams, VoIP systems
Familiarity with networking, security tools, and two-factor authentication
VIP support experience advantageous
Experience owning and driving end-user hardware and technology roadmaps
Ability to present technical evaluations and proposals to senior management
Strong experience with ServiceNow ITSM - incidents/ requests and CMBD management in addition to the ability to build/ maintain dashboards and reporting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, particularly when working with executives
A self-starter mindset with the ability to take ownership and see issues through to resolution
ITIL-based support experience; ITIL certification preferred
