Job Specifications
Role Overview
To unlock the next stage of growth, we're hiring our first Head of Analytics -- someone who can combine hands-on execution with long-term data strategy.
Early on, you'll be deep in the stack -- setting up experiments, fixing tracking gaps, and building trusted dashboards. Over time, you'll shape our analytics vision, create systematic processes, and cultivate a culture where product and marketing decisions are powered by data.
Key Responsibilities
Build our analytics foundations: design and maintain tracking, pipelines, and single-source-of-truth data models
Experimentation at scale: create and implement an A/B testing framework, and coach teams to test and learn faster
Data quality: establish strong processes between engineering, QA, and data to ensure reliability and consistency
Dashboards & self-serve analytics: deliver clear, trusted dashboards that empower product, marketing, ops, and leadership
Business impact measurement: partner with product to evaluate the effect of features and new experiences on revenue and retention
Insights & storytelling: engage senior stakeholders with clear, actionable insights that shape strategy
Team management & growth: hire, mentor, and scale a high-performing analytics team to support TimeLeft's growth
Expected Outcomes
Robust experimentation culture: A/B testing is systematic, efficient, and embedded across product & marketing; leadership regularly uses learnings to inform strategy.
Single source of truth: Clear, trusted dashboards exist for top-line and key product metrics and are widely adopted across teams.
Reliable data quality: Strong monitoring and QA processes ensure minimal data gaps, with engineering + QA aligned on ownership and fixes.
Business impact measurement: Every major feature, experience, or monetization initiative is evaluated with clear methodology, showing its effect on revenue and retention.
Self-serve analytics culture: Product, marketing, and ops teams can answer most recurring questions themselves, reducing ad-hoc data requests.
Scaling analytics team: Initial analytics team is onboarded, and productive, with a roadmap for scaling as the company grows.
Stakeholder partnership: Analytics is seen as a trusted partner to product, marketing, ops, and leadership -- shaping decisions, not just reporting them.
