Job Summary:
We are hiring a Senior Project Control Officer to support a long-term, enterprise-level technology delivery initiative within a Payments Portfolio at a leading Canadian bank. This role offers high visibility, extensive stakeholder engagement, and long-term project stability.Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain RAID logs (Risks, Actions, Issues, Decisions)
Design and generate detailed reports using JIRA and Excel
Consolidate weekly and executive status reports, ESC materials, and ad hoc updates
Track and manage interdependencies across internal and external workstreams
Oversee monthly cost forecasts, track actual spend, and analyze variances
Maintain PCR (project change request) lists and coordinate related tasks
Organize project artifacts, manage compliance documentation, and track delivery assurance
Monitor and report on schedules, milestones, and task completion
Escalate delays or risks as needed to drive timely resolution
Engage cross-functional teams and support program-level reporting
Required Experience:
8+ years as a Senior PCO supporting large-scale enterprise programs
Proficient in JIRA: able to design and run reports independently
Proven experience managing project financials and producing reports
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Prior experience supporting technology delivery or digital transformation programs
Nice-to-Have Experience:
Background in financial services or banking
Proficiency with SharePoint
Experience supporting compliance or governance-heavy environments
Required Skills:
Advanced JIRA reporting
RAID log and schedule tracking
Financial forecasting and variance analysis
Preferred Skills:
Excel pivot tables and formulas
PowerPoint for executive reporting
Knowledge of Agile, Hybrid, or PDLC methodologies
Risk management processes
Clarity PPM or similar tools
Additional Skills:
Artifact indexing
Invoicing and vendor accrual tracking
Change request documentation
Interdependency management
Cross-team collaboration in a large matrixed environment
