The Director of Business Operations and Strategy in Product Engineering will provide executive leadership and strategic oversight for all business operations activities across multiple pillars within the Product Engineering department. This role is crucial in driving financial performance, operational excellence, and strategic alignment across the entire Product Engineering function. The Director of Business Operations and Strategy will spearhead high-impact initiatives, optimize management processes, and lead multiple initiatives dedicated to advancing technology operations and business growth.

About The Role

In this opportunity as Director of Operations and Strategy you will:

Develop and execute comprehensive business strategies for Product Engineering Legal Pillars, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives and market trends.
Lead high-level financial and resource planning efforts, optimizing allocation across departments to maximize ROI and operational efficiency.
Oversee and optimize multi-million-dollar budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation, cost control, and alignment with strategic objectives.
Lead optimization efforts (SOW, FTE, location strategy, hiring) to meet PE business, financial and enterprise goals.
Establish and maintain a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence within the Product Engineering function.
Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure and optimize operational performance across the Product Engineering function.
Collaborate with other senior leaders to identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, or potential acquisitions that align with the organization's strategic goals.
Lead change management initiatives to ensure smooth adoption of new technologies, processes, and organizational structures.

About You

You're a fit for the role of Director of Business Operations and Strategy if you have the following required qualifications:

Advanced degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or related field with 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations, strategy, or business development, preferably within technology or product engineering environments.
Proven track record of developing and executing strategic initiatives that drive measurable business growth, including experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets and optimizing resource allocation across complex organizational structures.
Strong financial acumen and analytical skills with expertise in financial planning, ROI analysis, KPI development, and performance metrics, coupled with experience in vendor management, contract negotiation, and cost optimization.
Exceptional leadership and change management capabilities with demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams, driving organizational transformation, and fostering cultures of innovation and continuous improvement in fast-paced environments.
Strategic business development experience including identifying and evaluating new business opportunities, partnerships, and potential acquisitions, with strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence senior leadership and external partners.
