Job Specifications

IC Resources are currently working with a valued client in Oxford in the medical device sector who are looking for a Back End Cloud Engineer on a contract basis.

Your work will involve:

Developing backend services and APIs.
Designing and managing cloud infrastructure (preferably on Google Cloud).
Monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing systems.
Applying security best practices and ensuring compliance.
Collaborating closely with other teams (software, product, bioware, chemistry, hardware) to integrate solutions smoothly.

Skills you'll need

Strong experience in backend development (Python + another language like Java, Go, or Node.js).
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, Kubernetes, and databases (SQL & NoSQL).
Good understanding of microservices, RESTful APIs, and DevOps tools (CI/CD, Docker, etc.).
Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
