Role : Lucidworks Fusion

Location: 100% remote

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and Maintain Solutions:

Design, develop, and maintain search functionalities within the Lucidworks Fusion platform, focusing on high-quality and scalable software solutions.

* Data Integration:

Connect databases and other data sources to Fusion, implementing real-time indexing of large datasets.

* Search Relevancy & Optimization:

Tune search relevancy, develop query pipelines, and optimize search performance.

* Collaborate with Stakeholders:

Work with product managers, designers, and business analysts to understand user needs and translate them into technical requirements.

* Code Quality:

Conduct code reviews, ensure adherence to best practices, and maintain technical documentation.

* Troubleshooting:

Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and bugs in the search infrastructure.

* Deployment:

Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including testing and deployment, often utilizing CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms like AWS.

Essential Technical Skills

* Core Platform: Deep proficiency in Lucidworks Fusion and Apache Solr.

* Programming Languages: Strong experience with Java, Python, or Scala.

* Search Concepts: Solid understanding of information retrieval, relevance ranking, faceting, and query optimization.

* Data Handling: Experience with data pipeline tools, RESTful APIs, and web services.

* Cloud & Containerization: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

* Experience with Lucidworks Smart Answers, App Studio, or AI-powered search use cases.

Preferred/Valuable Skills

* Knowledge of Apache Spark, Kafka, or other big data technologies.

* Familiarity with machine learning models and their integration into search platforms.

* Experience with vector search and knowledge management systems
