Role Overview
The Mobile Device Specialist will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Apple iPhone and Android devices, supporting a varied mobile estate using Omnissa Workspace ONE. This role involves managing device lifecycles, troubleshooting escalated issues, and leading projects such as Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) implementations, cybersecurity integrations, and hardware refresh initiatives.
The role requires close collaboration with downstream support teams and a proactive approach to maintaining compliance, deploying updates, and improving mobile device processes.
Key Responsibilities Mobile Device Management
Manage mobile devices across the organization using Omnissa Workspace ONE.
Oversee OS updates, software deployments, and security patches for iOS and Android.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards for mobile devices.
Support and Troubleshooting
Act as the SME and escalation point for Service Desk and Second Line Support teams.
Independently diagnose and resolve technical issues with iOS and Android devices.
Provide guidance and training to support teams to enhance troubleshooting capabilities.
Project Participation
Lead or contribute to projects such as:
Implementing and integrating UEM solutions.
Deploying cybersecurity measures for mobile devices.
Planning and executing hardware refreshes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Documentation and Process Improvement
Maintain technical documentation, including device configurations and troubleshooting guides.
Propose and implement improvements to mobile device processes and best practices.
Essential Skills and Experience
Advanced expertise in iOS and Android operating systems.
Strong knowledge of Omnissa Workspace ONE for device management.
Proven experience managing large-scale enterprise mobile environments.
Varied experience in desktop support, infrastructure, and enterprise system architecture.
Exceptional troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve issues independently.
Experience leading or contributing to IT projects in an enterprise setting
Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK without Visa restrictions
