Markets Project Manager/CARAM Remediation
A Leading Financial Services business are looking to hire an experienced Project Manager, with specific knowledge around Regulatory Control Remediation.
£700 - £815 per day (Inside IR35/Umbrella or PAYE only)
The role is an initial 12 month contract with scope to roll into a couple of years
The role is a Hybrid working (3 days a week in the office, 2 from home)
Based in London, Canary Wharf
Key things to note
CARAM Remediation - Regulatory control remediation
Tier 1 regulations - 1 was assessed last year, missing or needing enhanced controls.
Long list of issues which need to be remediated; biggest is MiFID/MiFIR
This PM will get into the detail to drive remediation
Need to be a hybrid ideally in terms of background and experience
Lot of coordination and keep track of moving parts
Helpful to have MiFID/MiFIR background; Secondly Risk and Control
Being able to work independently
Knowledge of Markets and Products needed too - various product types
Profile Summary
Strong & proven track record in strategic project management and delivering complex solutions are essential
Has experience in implementing regulatory change across Markets
Significant experience in scoping, developing and prioritizing plans for strategic initiatives
Excellent oral and written communications skills; must be articulate and persuasive with the judgement and authority to provide insightful commentary to senior stakeholders.
Manage internal and external dependencies across initiatives, including working closely with Risk & Control Managers, Product Owners, Front Office and Technology teams
Identify challenges and proactively seek to resolve or escalate risk and issues in a timely and well-articulated manner to the projects by engaging relevant stakeholders and PMs
Produce accurate and insightful project update materials and artifacts, tailoring to various forums and committees
Build strong relationships, adopting a joined up approach, to support the execution of programs
A solid understanding of mechanisms to track and communicate progress
Ability to drive change to business practices by working effectively across a global organization and understand different perspectives
Thought leadership in target state design through engaging stakeholders at various levels of the organization
Demonstrated analytical skills with follow-up and problem solving capability
Highly proficient in MS Excel and MS Powerpoint
Other Beneficial Skills
10+ years of relevant industry experience
MiFIR/MiFID experience
Experience in managing Risk and Control related projects
Relevant Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
Project Management certifications eg PMP or equivalent a strong plus

- Control Systems Development Engineer – Internal Combustion Engines Peterborough / Hybrid working - 3 days on-site per week 12 month contract - likely to be extended The successful applicant for this position will join the European Controls & Software team, which is responsible for engine controls and software development for small and medium diesel, hybrid and electric powertrain programmes. The successful applicant will be involved in the design and development of controls and software for advanced diesel engine controls and / or hybrid systems controls. Key Responsibilities of the Control Systems Development Engineer Work with process partner teams to gather and develop requirements for the advanced diesel engines and hybrid power systems being developed for future, more sustainable, low carbon power systems. Create control algorithms / software models using Matlab, Simulink and Stateflow to meet diesel engine and / or hybrid power system software requirements. Conduct control system tuning / calibration activities on test bench and / or on test bed / machine to achieve desired system performance. Conduct sub-system FMEAs, documenting potential failure modes, identifying and completing design and validation actions and managing subsequent updates. Plan and execute verification and validation testing for electronics / control system software in SiL, HiL or on-test bed or development machines. Troubleshoot and resolve electronics / control system issues encountered during engine or power system running. Qualifications, Skills, Experience required of the Control Systems Development Engineer Strong technical background (good technical degree preferred in mechanical, electronic, electrical, control systems or automotive engineering) though other qualifications / experience will be considered.
