We are seeking a skilled QA Engineer to join the "Airport and Airline Operations" unit, focusing on enhancing applications such as Flight Management, Baggage Reconciliation Systems, and Ramp Operations. This critical role involves working within the SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) methodology as part of a feature team. You will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing quality control systems to ensure the delivery of top-tier solutions for airport and airline operations.Key Responsibilities


Develop and execute detailed test plans and test cases.
Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies.
Conduct both manual and automated testing on various software applications.
Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
Perform regression testing to safeguard existing functionalities during updates.
Analyze test results and create detailed reports for stakeholders.
Participate in design and code reviews, providing a quality perspective.
Continuously enhance testing processes and methodologies.
Requirements


Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a QA Engineer or similar role.
Airline/Travel industry experience is highly desirable
Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Hands-on experience with automated testing tools (eg, Selenium, JUnit).
Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Meticulous attention to detail and a passion for delivering quality work.
Preferred Qualifications


Experience with performance and/or security testing.
Knowledge of programming languages such as Java or Python.
Certification in Quality Assurance (eg, ISTQB).

Control Systems Development Engineer – Internal Combustion Engines Peterborough / Hybrid working - 3 days on-site per week 12 month contract - likely to be extended The successful applicant for this position will join the European Controls & Software team, which is responsible for engine controls and software development for small and medium diesel, hybrid and electric powertrain programmes. The successful applicant will be involved in the design and development of controls and software for advanced diesel engine controls and / or hybrid systems controls. Key Responsibilities of the Control Systems Development Engineer Work with process partner teams to gather and develop requirements for the advanced diesel engines and hybrid power systems being developed for future, more sustainable, low carbon power systems. Create control algorithms / software models using Matlab, Simulink and Stateflow to meet diesel engine and / or hybrid power system software requirements. Conduct control system tuning / calibration activities on test bench and / or on test bed / machine to achieve desired system performance. Conduct sub-system FMEAs, documenting potential failure modes, identifying and completing design and validation actions and managing subsequent updates. Plan and execute verification and validation testing for electronics / control system software in SiL, HiL or on-test bed or development machines. Troubleshoot and resolve electronics / control system issues encountered during engine or power system running. Qualifications, Skills, Experience required of the Control Systems Development Engineer Strong technical background (good technical degree preferred in mechanical, electronic, electrical, control systems or automotive engineering) though other qualifications / experience will be considered. Significant, demonstrable experience of using Mathworks tools (Matlab, Simulink and Stateflow) for model-based software design and development to create embedded software. This should have been gained in a diesel engine or hybrid power systems development environment. Ability to translate and develop customer requirements and objectives into production-ready software models. Knowledge of software FMEA and validation plan creation.
