JNC are working closely with a growing financial services organisation in London that are looking to bring on a talented Lead Data Engineer that has strong python and data focused AWS expertise.
The Lead Data Engineer will provide technical leadership and mentoring for a team of 6 software engineers. The team is responsible for developing and maintaining the clients data platform.
The ideal candidate will have strong skills in Data Engineering using AWS related technologies as well as relevant team mentoring and technical leadership experience.

Experience Required:
5+ years experience in a Data Engineering role.
Extensive Python coding experience.
Experience working with Data Lakes and most importantly AWS LakeFormation
Experience working with Glue and AWS Athena.
Experience working with EventBridge, SNS and SQS
Experience with Lambda, S3, Step Function and DynamoDB.
Experience working with CI/CD
Strong DevOps skills and capabilities.
Understanding or IaC and technologies like Terraform.
Any experience with Redshift would be a bonus but is not essential
