We are seeking an experienced Security Cleared Principal DevOps Engineer to join a dynamic team, focusing on building and maintaining highly reliable, secure, and available systems. The role involves working on multi-cloud environments and delivering robust solutions for a public sector client.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and set up systems from scratch with a strong emphasis on reliability, availability, and security.
Deploy and manage public/private cloud hosting solutions.
Implement observability and monitoring solutions using tools such as Dynatrace and AWS CloudWatch.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for seamless software delivery.
Leverage Kubernetes and Docker for containerized application management.
Manage and optimize Kafka, AWS MSK/Confluent for data streaming.
Handle data replication and archival processes across environments.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Strong expertise in AWS MSK, Confluent, and Kafka. (Kafka's ability to process massive amounts of data in Real Time makes it a critical tool for DevOps teams, as it allows them to monitor and manage their applications and systems effectively. The role of Kafka in DevOps extends beyond just data processing.)
Multi-cloud experience, including public and private cloud hosting.
Advanced proficiency in Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD.
Experience with observability and monitoring tools (eg, Dynatrace, AWS CloudWatch).
Knowledge of data replication and archival techniques.
Proven ability to design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure infrastructure solutions.
