Senior Network Automation Engineer
Job Description
Be a generalist network expert with responsibility for the design and implementation of both Corporate and Trading networks at this global Hedge Fund. You’ll see the impact of your work quickly and feedback loops will be shorter. Limited red tape and a desire to implement things quickly are commonplace here. You’ll be given autonomy and freedom to suggest improvements where you see they’re needed. You’ll begin in a generalist role, which of course won’t be right for everyone, but for you, it will mean you can work across various projects within the networking space. Some projects will be more focused on the internal Enterprise network, others will focus on optimising the networks required for high speed trading, plus much more. You’ll need to come from a background of designing and managing networks, ideally in a latency-sensitive environment. There will be a strong focus on developing automation solutions to ensure network performance is optimised. There will be a strong focus on coding here, you'll need to be able to build solutions in Python as opposed to just automating tasks with simple scripts. This fund hire some of the brightest minds from within Trading & Technology. It can be a tough environment, but you'll be rewarded handsomely for the work you do. The budget is open to ensure the fund attract the top Engineers. This is a fully on-site role. It's a global team, so there is no shift work. Interested in working at a Hedge Fund? Get in touch.
