Hybrid working – three days on-site, two days remote
Our client are an international consumer electronics company.
Brief:
We are currently looking for a skilled and innovative QA Software Test Engineer with experience in the mobile handset field.
The role is also comprised of project managing. The candidate will be expected to liaise with various teams in our department to ensure deadlines are on track, to communicate testing scope and share important test documents
Responsibilities:
Quality assurance end user testing on live networks.
Flashing test software on test equipment.
Ability to capture and upload various logging files.
Defect Management. Raising and managing software related issues.
Mobile Software tests – Interoperability tests, Network Infra, IMS testing & New feature tests
Market VOC feedback and reporting.
Contributing to regular progress and test reports
Provide informed feedback on interface usability and phone design concept.
Individual management of test schedule / projects assigned.
Running and set up of automation testing.
Testing new AI features added to our devices.
Testing and analysing new features of mobile devices and network.
Technical Requirements:
A degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Natural Science, Mathematics, Engineering or any related discipline (an equivalent period of industrial experience may be substituted)
Strong experience with Agile QA testing
Expertise in mobile phone technologies (features and specifications)
High knowledge of defect management raising and handling
ISTQB software testing certification
A good understanding of documentation requirements
Ability to create efficient and meaningful test cases
Ability to self-manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
A strong level of presentation, communication and planning skills
Capable of making decisions, working independently and organising own workload.
Approachable, flexible, team orientated and self-assertive where required.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
Desirables:
Experience and knowledge in 3G/4G/5G Networks and applications infrastructure
Automation script writing and executing
Previous experience of Interoperability testing
Knowledge / experience of AI testing
