Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Backend Native Cloud Engineer with expertise in Java, Spring, AWS, and Kubernetes to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in developing, deploying, and maintaining scalable cloud-native applications. An active SC Clearance is mandatory for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud-Native Development: Design, develop, and optimize backend services using Java and Spring Boot for cloud-native applications.
AWS Expertise: Implement, deploy, and maintain robust solutions on AWS, leveraging services such as Lambda, EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, and RDS.
Containerization and Orchestration: Develop and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes for deployment and scaling.
API Development: Design and build secure RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
CI/CD Pipelines: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for seamless integration and delivery using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
Monitoring and Logging: Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, frontend developers, and architects, to deliver high-quality solutions.
Security Compliance: Ensure solutions are compliant with security standards, particularly aligned with SC-cleared environments.

Essential Skills:

Programming: Strong proficiency in Java, with deep knowledge of Spring Boot and related frameworks (Spring Data, Spring Security, etc.).
AWS Cloud: Demonstrable hands-on experience with AWS services, including IAM, VPC, CloudFormation, and AWS Lambda.
Containerization: Proficiency in Docker and container orchestration using Kubernetes (EKS experience preferred).
Microservices: Experience in designing and deploying scalable, cloud-native microservices architecture.
SC Clearance: Currently holds Active SC Clearance with eligibility to work on secure government or defense projects.
Agile/DevOps: Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps principles.

Desirable Skills:

Databases: Experience with both relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB, MongoDB) databases.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Experience with tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Ansible.
Testing: Knowledge of automated testing frameworks for backend systems.
Networking: Understanding of networking principles and protocols relevant to cloud environments.
Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Developer Certification is a plus.
