Location: Shotts
Contract Type: 6 months initially, part-time and full-time role available!
Hours: 35 hours per week full-time - 14 hours part-time
About the Role
Are you an organised and detail-oriented professional looking to advance your career in Human Resources? ASA are working with a public sector client who are seeking an HR Administrator to join their dynamic team, providing essential support to the HR department. This role is perfect for someone with strong administrative skills and a passion for HR processes, compliance, and employee support.
As an HR Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, managing HR documentation, handling sensitive employee enquiries, and supporting HR service delivery within the organisation. You’ll also contribute to improving HR processes, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and manage both electronic and paper-based HR records, ensuring compliance with Data Protection legislation and internal policies.
Provide efficient administrative support, handling HR documentation and communication securely and professionally.
Respond to HR-related queries in a timely, professional, and impartial manner, providing accurate advice in line with policies and legislation.
Contribute to HR projects and forward-planning activities to enhance department efficiency.
Stay up to date with HR policies, procedures, and legislation, using your knowledge to support the improvement of HR systems and processes.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is highly organised, proactive, and eager to develop their HR expertise. The ideal candidate will have:
Qualifications:
Minimum of five National 5 (or equivalent) qualifications, including English and Mathematics.
CIPD Level 3 Certificate in HR Practice (or willingness to work towards it).
Experience & Skills:
Strong administrative experience, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Prior experience working in an HR role or environment.
Ability to use digital tools and technology for data management and communication.
Knowledge of relevant legislation, including Data Protection, Equality & Diversity, and Employment Law.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong decision-making and time management abilities.
Analytical skills with the ability to interpret and report on data.
