Greetings for the day!
We are looking for a Test Coordinator and QA Analyst for freelance projects in Brussels, BE. The positions are Full-Time (5 days p/week) and hybrid over an initial duration of 13 Months, plus a high likelihood of extensions.
Contractual Details for both roles
Location: Brussels, BE (50% onsite / 50% WFH)
Duration: 13 Months (plus a high likelihood of extensions)
B2B Freelance / Contract
5 Days Per Week / Full-Time
Languages: French OR Dutch Fluency (with understanding of the other national language) + English fluency

Test Coordinator
Key Responsibilities:
Assessment and Strategy:
Conduct a thorough inventory of the existing testing strategy, including tools, frameworks, and knowledge.
Evaluate current testing tools (pros and cons) against the organization's ICT vision.
Develop a comprehensive organization-wide testing strategy, ensuring effective coverage of the testing pyramid, including the selection of appropriate tools for each level.
Create a two-year roadmap for achieving the defined testing strategy.
Implementation and Promotion:
Champion and promote the testing strategy, starting with a pilot team and progressively rolling it out to all development teams, supported by in-house IT coordinators.
Identify skill gaps within development teams and recommend necessary training, coaching, or other development initiatives to achieve the target skill levels.
Required Skills and Experience:
Technical Expertise:
Expert knowledge of testing frameworks, including different test levels and responsibilities.
Hands-on experience with modern testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Lombok, Mockito, SOAP UI, Cucumber, Selenium, Test Bench).
Practical experience with test coverage/code quality tools (e.g., SonarQube).
Experience with reporting tools (e.g., Grafana).
Knowledge of automation and DevOps techniques (pipelines, CI/CD).
Practical knowledge of object-oriented programming (Java).
Java Enterprise knowledge.
QA Tester
Key Responsibilities:
Testing Strategy Development & Implementation:

Develop a unified testing strategy, ensuring effective coverage across the testing pyramid (including tool selection for each level).
Create a two-year roadmap for achieving the defined testing strategy.
Champion and implement the testing strategy, starting with a pilot team and progressively rolling it out to all development teams, with the support of IT coordinators.
Identify and address any skill gaps within development teams through training, coaching, or other development initiatives.
Collaboration & Communication:
Lead monthly meetings for testers, setting agendas, encouraging participation, facilitating discussions, and fostering team communication.
Collaborate closely with the test coordinator (project manager) on defining project milestones, technology selection, tool selection, promoting testing methodologies, and evangelizing developers and testers.
Effectively communicate with various audiences, tailoring messages as needed.
Motivate teams to embrace and achieve shared quality goals.
