As an Analytics Engineer you will be a key member of the Data Team. Your primary role is to partner with the business to bring robust, efficient and integrated data models to life. You will work with stakeholders throughout the business to provide actionable data insights and analysis into models allowing them and the wider business to perform more efficiently. You will be able to blend business acumen with technical expertise and transition between business strategy and data development.
In this position you can have an enormous impact on the efficiency and output of our whole company, by embedding data into their everyday decision-making.
You will be highly organised and comfortable building relationships and working with all levels of the firm. Stakeholder management and communication will be vital to the success of the role.

Key Responsibilities;
Developing an understanding of our business functions to understand key business priorities, and to help deliver these through the use of data
Collaborate with team members from multiple business functions (e.g. product, engineering, claims) to collect business requirements, define successful analytics outcomes, and design data models fit for current and future business questions
Operate as a data model subject matter expert, demonstrated by the ability to address questions quickly and accurately
Advocate for data quality and trusted data to help ensure all data is profiled, reviewed, and accurate to support critical decisions
Design and develop code that addresses key business requirements whilst also looking to address future potential questions
Craft SQL code that meets our internal standards for maintainability and best practice for a high scale database environment. Maintain & advocate for these standards with code reviews
Help consolidate and distil data points gathered from across the business and from multiple sources (e.g, internal databases, Salesforce, BambooHR) and convert said data into business friendly data models which can support them with actionable insights
Collaborate with the rest of the Loadsure Data team to support internal and external reporting and analytics requirements to provide actionable insights
Skills and Qualifications;
Essential;
c. 5-7 years experience with BI/Analytics, ideally with experience as an Analytics Engineer or similar
Experience advocating for a data-driven decision making environment in where you have strived to improve process, establish best practices and define standards
Strong SQL experience and skills
Familiarity with designing and implementing data models
Excellent project management, time management and organisational skills
Accuracy and attention to detail
Self-starter who takes initiative
Thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, rapidly changing technical environment
Enthusiastic about emerging technology and Insurtech
Desirable;
Experience with dbt
Experience with version control software
Experience within a modern cloud data warehouse, e.g. BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks
Experience working on data within Insurance and/or a B2B company
