Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced FP&A Adaptive Consultant to lead the development, deployment, and optimisation of Workday Adaptive Planning within our FP&A function.
This role is critical in transforming the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes by leveraging Adaptive’s capabilities. The consultant will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless integration of Adaptive into the organisation’s operations, delivering enhanced financial insights and decision-making support.
This is a contract role, starting ASAP until end June 2025.
Here's what you'll be doing:
• Lead the completion of the end-to-end implementation of Workday Adaptive Planning, from design to deployment.
• Using project management skills, build and optimise financial models, dashboards, and templates in Adaptive Planning to support the organisation’s planning and reporting requirements.
• Customise Adaptive to align with Aptia’s budgeting, forecasting, and reporting requirements.
• Working with the Finance business partners, develop automated workflows, including driver-based planning and scenario analysis.
• Engage with senior leadership to gather requirements and ensure Adaptive delivers actionable insights.
• Identify inefficiencies in the existing FP&A processes and recommend best practices leveraging Adaptive Planning’s capabilities.
• Continuously refine Adaptive configurations to meet evolving business requirements.
• Develop and deliver training sessions to empower end users and promote adoption of Adaptive Planning across the organisation.
• Support the development of identified Adaptive super-users in the team to support the transition of ownership of Adaptive to the FP&A team
• Working with the super users, ensure all documentation is in place for each of the Adaptive models created
• Working with the FP&A super-users, design and deliver customised reports, dashboards, and visualisations to support real-time decision-making.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity within Adaptive by implementing robust data validation and governance practices.
• Provide ongoing analytical support for budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
• Advanced proficiency in Workday Adaptive Planning (development, configuration, and reporting) including upskilling of FP&A team members
• Project management skills.
• Strong knowledge of financial modelling, planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Experience with ERP integration (e.g., Workday, NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle).
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau) and advanced Excel skills (macros, formulas, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on delivering practical solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to bridge technical and non-technical teams.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Professional certifications (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, ACA) are advantageous.
• Demonstrable experience in FP&A roles with a focus on Adaptive Planning implementation.
• Proven track record of leading finance system projects, preferably within mid-to-large-sized organisations.
