Job Description
Data Migration Lead Duration: 14 month contract Job Purpose: Lead the migration to the new AWS data platform, providing both technical leadership and hands-on engineering expertise. This role requires strong stakeholder engagement, migration planning and hands-on involvement in ETL development, data model migration, and integration functionalities. You will manage external suppliers and internal teams, oversee the migration pipeline, and ensure seamless collaboration to drive the successful transition to AWS. As a Data Migration Lead your main responsibilities will be to: Lead and manage the data migration pipeline and team resources. Serve as a technical lead, overseeing migration activities and managing both internal teams and external suppliers. Provide hands-on engineering expertise, including Terraform deployments for AWS infrastructure. Lead the design and implementation of AWS migration tasks (e.g., S3, Glue, API Gateway, Batch, Lambda). Design and manage changes to data models, ETLs, and other integration functionality. Collaborate with business stakeholders to assess migration gaps and track progress to completion.
