Our client is seeking an experienced Integration Engineer to join and strengthen their Microservices team. As a Microservices Integration Engineer, you will play a key role in managing, optimizing, and further developing the organization’s microservices architecture. You’ll take ownership of mission-critical applications, ensuring their stability, performance, and integration within a complex IT ecosystem. Our client is a forward-thinking public organization based in the Ghent region, dedicated to developing and managing digital solutions that support a wide range of urban services. In this role, you will

Manage and optimize microservices and service-oriented applications.
Oversee releases, incidents, and change management processes.
Analyze technical issues and propose sustainable, long-term solutions.
Collaborate closely with development teams (Java or .NET) to implement new features.
Monitor application performance and availability through relevant tools.
Manage integration components within a complex environment involving APIs, Gateways, and ESBs.
Ensure compliance with security and technical standards across the application landscape.

Your profile

You are an experienced Integration Engineer with a strong technical foundation and a passion for integration and reliability. You combine analytical thinking with clear communication and take ownership of your work.

You bring

5 years as an Application Owner.
Strong experience with SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture).
Experience with Microservices.
Experience with OpenShift.
Experience with SQL.
Strong development experience in Java or .NET.
Experience in a complex integration environment (API / Gateway / ESB).
Native Dutch (spoken and written).
