This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced software engineer to contribute to the development of scalable web applications in a fully remote, US-based contract role. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing robust systems, implementing best practices, and mentoring junior engineers, all while working across US time zones.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using modern full-stack technologies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
Implement and enforce best software engineering practices throughout the development lifecycle
Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning
Ensure code quality, security, and performance through code reviews and automated testing
Integrate cloud services and manage deployments on platforms such as AWS or Azure
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues as they arise
Contribute to DevOps processes, including CI/CD pipeline management
Skills And Requirements
Extensive full-stack development experience with JavaScript, C#, Python, Java, or AI/ML frameworks
Strong proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and database technologies (SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
Solid understanding of front-end frameworks and modern web development practices
Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines
Demonstrated technical leadership and ability to mentor junior engineers
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
Prior experience working with US-based companies preferred
Availability to work full-time across US time zones
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a remote setting
