About the Role

We’re looking for a confident, commercially focused Business Development Manager to lead sponsorship and exhibition sales for one of the company’s flagship international events in the aviation sector, a major annual technology and innovation forum attracting leading global brands and senior decision-makers.

This is a maternity cover role (approx. Dec 2025 – Sep 2026) with full ownership of a high-performing product. You’ll take charge of end-to-end sales, build relationships with key sponsors and exhibitors, and contribute strategically to the success of this global event. You’ll also have the opportunity to attend the event in Singapore (March 2026) and work closely with international teams across Europe and Asia.

Key Responsibilities

Own the full sales cycle, from lead generation and outreach to pitching, negotiating, and closing deals.
Develop and maintain relationships with both new and returning sponsors and exhibitors.
Create compelling, tailored sponsorship proposals and commercial packages.
Manage pipelines, track activity, and forecast revenue using CRM tools.
Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and content teams to deliver client value and event success.
Provide insight into client needs and market trends to shape ongoing sales strategy.
Represent the brand at industry events and maintain a deep understanding of the aviation and transport technology markets.

About You

We’re looking for a proactive and results-driven B2B sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You’ll bring:

Proven experience in B2B sponsorship, exhibition, media sales or relevant industry sales.
A consultative sales approach and ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders.
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
A track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets.
Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce) and sales tools.
Interest or knowledge of aviation, aerospace, or transport technology is a plus.
