Software Engineer – .NET / JavaScript

Location: UK-based, remote / hybrid

We’re recruiting for a long-established product-focused software company looking for a Software Engineer to help evolve and support a mature, widely used web application.

You’ll work across both modern and legacy technologies, with a clear route for technical progression.

The Role

You’ll be involved in a mix of:

Building and enhancing product features
Fixing bugs and improving existing functionality
Writing and maintaining automated tests
Helping to improve build and deployment pipelines
Collaborating with product and business teams to define requirements
Occasionally supporting customers and troubleshooting issues

Some planned out-of-hours work may be required from time to time and is recognised/compensated.

Tech Stack

You don’t need all of these, but you should be comfortable with Microsoft web development and keen to broaden your skills:

C#, .NET (Framework and .NET 6/8+)
Web: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
Modern front-end frameworks (e.g. React)
Legacy front-end tech (e.g. jQuery / older frameworks)
SQL databases (e.g. SQL Server)
Source control (Git / similar)

What We’re Looking For

3+ years’ experience in web development on the Microsoft stack (C#, .NET, HTML, CSS)
Solid JavaScript experience
Confident using source control in a team environment
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Professional, self-motivated and reliable
Enjoy working collaboratively and taking ownership of your work
