Software Engineer – AI-Driven Internal Tooling (Full Stack)

Location: Raleigh, NC (HYBRID 3 days onsite)

Team: Internal Tooling & Platform Enablement

Role Overview

We’re hiring a Full Stack Software Engineer to help build AI-powered internal tools that improve efficiency across the organization. This role is heavily focused on execution and delivery, leveraging modern agentic and AI-assisted development tools rather than relying solely on traditional, hand-written coding.

You’ll be part of one of three engineering teams being built in parallel, all focused on delivering internal tooling and shared infrastructure. Each team will have established leadership and business analysts, making this a heads-down development role focused on turning clearly defined problems into working solutions using AI-first workflows.

Day in the Life

Work closely with your team lead and Product/BA partners to execute against clearly defined internal use cases
Build and enhance internal tools that improve productivity for engineering and business teams using AI
Spend much of your time in GitHub, leveraging GitHub Copilot and other agentic tools to accelerate development
Use AI-driven workflows to generate, refine, and maintain code, while remaining capable of writing and debugging code manually when needed
Collaborate with globally distributed teams contributing to shared internal platforms and tooling

Required Experience (Must-Haves)

2–5 years of professional software development experience
Full-stack engineering background with:
At least one client-side framework (Angular preferred, but flexible)
At least one server-side language (.NET/C# preferred, but flexible)
Strong hands-on experience with Claude Code or similar
Experience may come from personal, experimental, or non-corporate projects; production enterprise use is not required
Practical experience using AI-assisted and agentic development tools, including:
Claude Code
GitHub Copilot
Codex
Gemini or similar tools

Ability to clearly articulate:

How these tools have been used in real development workflows
The pros and cons of different agentic tools
When AI accelerates development versus when traditional coding is still necessary

Preferred / Nice to Have

.NET and Angular experience
Experience building internal tools, platforms, or developer productivity solutions
Comfort working in distributed or global engineering teams
Exposure to modern DevOps or CI/CD workflows within GitHub
