Our client is seeking a technical project manager to work hybrid in the downtown Pittsburgh area two days a week.
Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end IT project delivery (scope, requirements, budget, schedule, implementation).
Manage projects using Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid methodologies.
Maintain key documentation: charters, schedules, risk logs, and status reporting.
Partner with operations, engineering, customer service, field services, and regulatory teams to align priorities.
Work with infrastructure, application, security teams, and vendors to ensure successful delivery and integration.
Manage utility-related systems (OMS, SCADA/EMS, GIS, asset management tools like ESRI/Maximo).
Ensure compliance with NERC, FERC, CIP, PUC, and cybersecurity standards.
Identify risks and drive mitigation strategies.
Ensure adherence to PMO standards, governance, and audit requirements.
Oversee third-party vendors, including RFPs, SOWs, selection, and performance.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or related field.
3–5 years of IT project management experience; 2+ years in the electric utility sector.
Experience delivering enterprise IT projects (applications, integrations, infrastructure, or grid systems).
Knowledge of utility operations and regulatory environments.
Proficiency with tools such as MS Project, Jira, Azure DevOps, or Smartsheet.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred:
PMP, PMI-ACP, or similar certification.
Experience with Monarch platform, GIS, CIS, asset/work management, or SCADA-related systems.
Familiarity with NERC CIP and utility cybersecurity frameworks.
