About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Test Manager to lead the testing strategy for a cutting-edge Microsoft Fabric Greenfield implementation. This is a unique opportunity to establish testing best practices from the ground up, ensuring the successful delivery of a high-performance, scalable, and governed data platform.
Note this is a Fixed Term Contract (Salaried) to run to the end of 2025 with a likelihood for extension.
Location: Hybrid, but our Bournemouth offices are a key location (happy to discuss)
Key Responsibilities
• Define and implement a comprehensive test strategy for Microsoft Fabric and OneLake
• Lead test planning, execution, and reporting across data ingestion, transformation, and analytics pipelines
• Work closely with data engineers, SMEs, and business stakeholders to ensure quality and compliance
• Develop and automate data validation and reconciliation tests for a robust Medallion Architecture
• Establish and enforce best practices for data governance, lineage, and security testing
• Manage test environments, ensuring consistency and reliability across development cycles
• Drive performance testing, ensuring the Fabric platform meets business SLAs
• Champion test automation and CI/CD integration within Azure DevOps
Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a Test Manager in large-scale data platforms
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, Azure Data Factory, and Delta Lake
Nice to have
Hands-on experience with data testing automation
Expertise in SQL, Python, PySpark, and cloud-based test automation
Solid understanding of data governance, regulatory reporting, and risk controls
Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive a test-first culture
