Job Description
Job title: Regional Information Security Officer Role Summary: • Lead and manage the information security function across designated countries and entities. • Ensure consistent application of the global Information Security strategy, cyber‑risk framework, and security controls. • Act as the primary security liaison for the region, driving risk mitigation and continuous improvement. Expactations: • Deliver high‑performance regional security leadership and reporting. • Maintain the risk registry and prioritize mitigation actions in alignment with global strategy. • Embed security policies and practices into all regional project delivery. Key Responsibilities: • Serve as the main point of contact for all security matters in the region. • Build, coach, and manage a skilled security team. • Analyse effectiveness of technical, process, and people controls in each entity. • Propose and implement improvement plans aligned with global cybersecurity strategy. • Support group‑wide initiatives to roll out or enhance controls. • Enforce the global cyber‑risk framework and maintain the risk registry with stakeholders. • Ensure security is integrated into every regional project lifecycle. • Support internal and external audits and deliver audit findings. • Assist local IT and InfoSec teams during incident management and response. • Liaise with Data Protection Officers on data protection processes and privacy incidents. • Generate KPIs, metrics, and status reports for senior‑level forums. • Promote a security‑aware culture through communication and training. Required Skills: • Proven leadership experience in cybersecurity within complex multinational organizations. • In‑depth knowledge of cyber‑risk frameworks, security standards, and regulatory requirements. • Strong verbal and written communication, coaching, and stakeholder‑management skills. • Analytical mindset with ability to make decisions under uncertainty. • Incident response and audit support experience. Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field. • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, or equivalent strongly preferred.
