Job Description
Job Title: Head of Information Technology Role Summary: Direct the enterprise-wide IT strategy, architecture, and operations to align technology initiatives with business objectives, leading digital transformation, governance, and secure infrastructure across multiple sites. Expactations: - Senior leadership experience (Head of IT, CIO, CTO or equivalent) in mid‑to‑large organizations, preferably within construction, engineering, or logistics sectors. - Proven record of managing cross‑functional IT teams and complex programs. - Strong commercial acumen, vendor management, and budget oversight. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and execute IT strategy, roadmap, and digital transformation plans. - Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary IT organization (infrastructure, application support, service delivery, programme management). - Oversee design, delivery, and maintenance of core systems: ERP, ERP/CRM, cloud services (Azure, AWS), networks, datacentres, and desktop/server environments. - Ensure IT service delivery adheres to ITIL frameworks and continually improve processes. - Manage cybersecurity, governance, and compliance, establishing and enforcing InfoSec policies and procedures. - Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders, providing data‑driven business intelligence to senior management and board forums. - Conduct vendor selection, contract negotiation, and performance management. - Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting for the IT department. Required Skills: - Strategic IT planning, enterprise architecture, and digital transformation. - Leadership, stakeholder engagement, and team development. - ITIL, change management, and service‑management best practices. - Cybersecurity, data governance, and compliance (ISO, NIST, GDPR). - Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), ERP (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics). - Programme and project management (PMP, Prince2, Agile). - Vendor management, contract negotiation, and cost control. - Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline. - Professional certifications: ITIL Foundation (or higher), PMP/Prince2, and at least one cloud or security certification (Azure/AWS, CISSP, CISM).
