Job title: Senior Consultant, Broadcast & Sport Media
Role Summary: Deliver and lead high‑value retained search projects for senior roles across broadcast, sports media and OTT/streaming. Build and defend a strong personal brand as a market expert, secure new business, and manage client relationships with global broadcasters, federations, and media organisations.
Expectations:
- Consistently acquire and win retained mandates, targeting senior decision‑makers and unlocking new business opportunities.
- Position oneself as a trusted market authority, influencing client engagements and shaping the company’s industry voice.
- Own end‑to‑end search projects, ensuring successful delivery while leveraging the support of a dedicated delivery team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect, pitch, and secure new retained search mandates; develop proposals and search briefs.
- Conduct industry research, trend analysis, and candidate mapping for broadcast and sports media markets.
- Lead structured interviews with executives, assess fit, and present shortlisted candidates to clients.
- Maintain proactive communication with clients, acting as a strategic advisor throughout the engagement.
- Represent the firm at industry events, networking opportunities, and professional communities.
- Collaborate with delivery specialists on sourcing, research, and candidate engagement logistics.
- Report on business development metrics, win rates, and market insights to senior leadership.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in senior‑level talent acquisition, preferably within broadcast, sports media, or OTT/streaming sectors.
- Strong commercial acumen; track record of winning and delivering retained search mandates.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, comfortable speaking to C‑level and senior leaders.
- Deep knowledge of broadcast operations, media rights, OTT technology, content operations, and sports media technology.
- Strategic mindset with ability to anticipate market trends, client needs, and business opportunities.
- Collaborative team player with demonstrated ability to work cross‑functionally with delivery specialists.
- Results‑driven, highly organized, and reliable in meeting client deadlines and expectations.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business, Communications, Media Studies, or related field.
- Professional recruiting certifications (e.g., CPR, Huber) or equivalent preferred but not mandatory.
