Job Description
**Job Title** Applications Engineer **Role Summary** Provide technical design support for packaged Flare Gas Recovery and ejector systems in the process industry. Collaborate with sales and process teams to define project scope, develop PFDs/P&IDs, specify equipment, review supplier quotations, and prepare documentation for project hand‑over. **Expectations** - Deliver accurate, compliant design deliverables within agreed timelines. - Work independently and as part of cross‑functional teams. - Maintain high standards of design quality and project documentation. - Communicate effectively at all organisational levels. - Apply commercial awareness to optimize solutions and control costs. **Key Responsibilities** - Define project scope, objectives, and design requirements in partnership with Sales and Process teams. - Gather and analyse basic design data, process parameters, and performance metrics. - Create Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and guide CAD team in production. - Develop Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), identify control systems, valves, and piping configurations. - Draft equipment specifications, prepare supplier enquiries, and evaluate quotations for compliance with project standards. - Prepare and manage material and energy balance inputs to support design decisions. - Provide feedback to Design, Operations, and Procurement departments on best practices, standards, and lessons learned. - Compile and review complete documentation packages for hand‑over to Project Managers. - Support pre‑bid and contract‑stage activities, ensuring all technical deliverables align with contractual requirements. **Required Skills** - Proficiency in PFD/P&ID development and interpretation. - Strong understanding of material and energy balances in process systems. - Ability to extract equipment requirements, draft specifications, and scrutinise supplier data. - Excellent written and verbal communication, with capability to present to technical and non‑technical audiences. - Self‑directed time management and prioritisation in high‑pressure environments. - Team collaboration and interpersonal skills. - Commercial and business acumen, understanding cost drivers and value engineering opportunities. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor's (BEng) or Master’s (MEng) degree in Chemical, Process, or Mechanical Engineering. - Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience supporting packaged system design. - Right to work within the United Kingdom.

Job title: Project Engineer Role Summary: Lead end-to-end project engineering for design, installation, and commissioning of odorisation and telemetry systems in the utility sector. Manage cross‑functional teams to deliver projects on scope, time, budget, and quality. Expactations: Ownership of project lifecycle from bid to delivery; effective stakeholder communication; adherence to industry safety and design standards; continuous improvement of processes and best practices. Key Responsibilities: - Define and execute project objectives and plans, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and procurement. - Develop and maintain detailed schedules, budgets, scope statements, and work breakdown structures. - Assemble and lead project teams, coordinating contractors and consultants as needed. - Collaborate with sales during the bid process, then take full responsibility post‑sale. - Manage internal and external stakeholder communications and information flow. - Escalate and resolve project challenges; implement lessons learned. - Ensure compliance with hazardous area design (ATEX) and gas utilities design approval processes. - Maintain documentation and best‑practice guidelines for future projects. Required Skills: - Proven project engineering experience, including EC&I design or installation & commissioning. - Familiarity with hazardous area (ATEX) design, ideally with Compex EX12 knowledge. - Experience in the gas utilities industry and understanding of design approval/appraisal processes. - Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project. - Strong prioritization, scheduling, and progress‑tracking abilities. - Excellent oral and written communication; detail‑oriented; self‑starter with ownership mindset. - Ability to work collaboratively across functional areas (finance, product management, engineering, quality, production, sourcing). Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related discipline) or equivalent. - Professional Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or similar) preferred. - ATEX or relevant hazardous area design certification or equivalent training.
