Job title: Head / Director of Engineering
Role Summary: Lead a cross‑functional engineering organization building scalable consumer and B2B finance platforms, driving architecture, delivery, and technical excellence while remaining hands‑on in code.
Expectations: • 8+ years of full‑stack development with recent leadership or mentoring experience. • Proficiency in Flutter (Dart), Node.js, and modern CI/CD practices. • Ability to design and deploy services on Google Cloud Platform and enforce secure, high‑performance architecture. • Culture champion: promote autonomy, clarity, and continuous improvement within small squads. • Strong communication with Product Owners, Designers, and stakeholders to prioritize impactful work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and mentor Engineering squads for the Lovey App and core platform.
- Own technical delivery, architecture decisions, and best‑practice implementation.
- Design scalable, maintainable front‑end (Flutter) and back‑end (Node.js) solutions for consumer and B2B use cases.
- Deploy, monitor, and maintain services on GCP, integrating with data platforms (BigQuery, ThoughtSpot) and external APIs (Provenir, LTi, HubSpot).
- Lead CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, automated testing, and performance monitoring (Grafana, Prometheus).
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Ops to define scope, estimates, and quality gates.
- Drive long‑term technical roadmap, technology evaluation, and process improvement.
- Ensure compliance with security standards (OAuth2, IAM, ISO27001, penetration testing).
Required Skills:
- Full‑stack development (Flutter/Dart, Node.js, JavaScript, SQL, JSON).
- Cloud operations on Google Cloud Platform (Compute, Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker).
- CI/CD orchestration (GitHub Actions, Terraform, Git).
- Experience with REST & GraphQL APIs; familiarity with BigQuery, Provenir, LTi, HubSpot.
- Strong problem‑solving, communication, and mentorship abilities.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- (Preferred) Relevant cloud or security certifications (e.g., GCP Professional Cloud Architect, Certified Kubernetes Administrator).
