Job Description

Lead AI/ML and Data Science Developer
My client is seeking a top level experienced Senior AI/ML Developer and Data Scientist to join our team at the forefront of designing cutting-edge solutions in the Telcomms industry. End-to-end design, development, and deployment of AI/ML models, as well as implementing advanced data science techniques to solve complex problems and drive innovation.
You will collaborate with stakeholders to understand business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable AI/ML and data-driven solutions.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML models and solutions, including LLMs and GenAI.
Perform feature engineering and selection to optimize model performance.
Select and implement appropriate AI/ML algorithms, including supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning models.
Train, evaluate, and optimize models using machine learning and statistical techniques.
Conduct extensive data exploration, analysis, and preprocessing to ensure data quality for AI/ML applications.
Develop and apply data science methodologies to extract insights from large-scale structured and unstructured datasets.
Deploy models to production environments, ensuring robustness and scalability.
Monitor model performance and define strategies for identifying drift; retrain or refine models as needed.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI/ML models with business applications and systems.
Utilise predictive analytics, time series forecasting, and statistical models to drive business decision-making.
Stay updated on the latest advancements in AI/ML and data science technologies.
Lead and mentor junior team members.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for AI/ML pipelines, data workflows, and analytical processes.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in AI/ML development and data science.
Extremely strong understanding of AI/ML algorithms and techniques, including LLMs, GenAI, and automated AI systems.
Experience with machine learning frameworks (eg, TensorFlow, PyTorch) and data science libraries (eg, NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn).
Proficiency in Python, R, or other relevant programming languages.
Proficiency in working with large datasets, data wrangling, and data preprocessing.
Experience in data science, statistical modelling, and data analytics techniques.
Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (eg, Matplotlib, Seaborn, Tableau).
Ability to work totally independently and lead projects from inception to deployment.
Experience with big data technologies (eg, Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms (eg, AWS, GCP, Azure) is desirable.
MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence.
(Contract is outside IR35, requires 2-3 days on site in Hertfordshire per week)

Job Description

Leading edge R&D client requires an IT Systems Admin (DevOps Infrastructure) contractor (Inside IR35) - initial 6 months + extensions, working largely on site with occasional remote days.
The IT Systems Admin contractor will work closely within the DevOps Infrastructure Team in the following activities:
Day to day management and prioritisation of escalated Service Desk activities.
Prioritising 3rd line support activities to underpin incident and problem management.
Balancing the differing requirements of R&D and Enterprise computing as part of a Global organisation.
Delivery of DevOps Infrastructure projects using own and external resources.
Management of external IS service providers to underpin service levels.
Also ITIL based functions including:
Incident management, Change Management, Capacity infrastructure management, analysing system logs and identifying potential issues with computer systems, and modernising core infrastructure.
Required Skills Knowledge and Expertise:
Extensive experience in a Windows & Linux-based Server role, covering Hardware and Software.
Practical, hands-on style
Desired Skills:
Experience in Windows Server operating systems, Exchange Server, Databases, Linux platforms Red Hat/Ubuntu, Scripting languages, SAN/NAS Storage including NetApp Storage systems. You will also have experience in TCP/IP, LDAP, NIS, Network Installations and LAN/WAN Knowledge.
Knowledge and experience of best practice in this field.
