**Job Title:** Sales Manager Mediterranean **Role Summary:** Lead and grow sales of baked goods across Italy, Greece, Cyprus, and Malta. Manage a small team, drive volume, net sales, and margin targets, and introduce new products to increase market share. **Expectations:** • Develop and execute annual sales forecasts and budgets for assigned markets. • Maintain an €8 million customer portfolio while actively prospecting new partners. • Lead negotiations, price-setting, and profitability management in line with corporate objectives. • Represent the company at trade fairs and coordinate cross‑functional collaboration with customer service, R&D, and marketing. • Travel up to 25 % of the time for field visits and market research. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. Manage a sales team, setting goals and coaching performance. 2. Achieve planned volume, net sales, and margin targets across the region. 3. Expand customer base through prospecting, partnership development, and market penetration initiatives. 4. Negotiate prices, contracts, and profitability terms annually. 5. Plan and forecast sales, budgeting for each country. 6. Introduce and promote R&D‑developed products and new launches. 7. Monitor product quality, competition, and market trends; recommend adjustments to range or packaging. 8. Organise and participate in traditional and new trade fairs, suggesting relevant events. 9. Collaborate with customer service and internal teams to ensure top‑level client support. 10. Stay informed of local regulations, trade tariffs, political developments, and currency fluctuations affecting sales. **Required Skills:** - Sales and marketing strategy development - Team leadership and coaching - Customer portfolio management - Negotiation and pricing expertise - Forecasting, budgeting, and KPI tracking - Market research and competitive analysis - Cross‑functional collaboration - Strong communication in Dutch, English, and Italian - Proficiency with MS Office suite **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Commercial Communication, Applied Economics, or equivalent practical experience. - Minimum five years of sales/marketing experience, preferably in the food or bakery sector. - Demonstrated familiarity with the international food market and Mediterranean countries.
