**Job Title**
Expert Power BI Developer
**Role Summary**
Design, develop, and optimize large‑scale Power BI solutions for commercial, procurement, operations, and finance teams. Transform raw data from Google BigQuery and SAP (via Cortex) into strategic insights, ensuring high performance, security, and self‑service analytics adoption.
**Expectations**
- Minimum 5 years of Power BI development experience, including at least 3 years in a senior role.
- Proven ability to lead multiple projects and mentor junior analysts.
- Fluent English; French is a plus.
- Strong analytical mindset, rigorous work ethic, and focus on internal customer service.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Architect, develop, and maintain enterprise‑grade Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Build performant data models (star schema) and complex DAX measures for pricing, purchasing, operational efficiency, and financial performance.
- Connect and optimize data flows between Power BI and Google BigQuery; collaborate with data‑engineering teams on SAP/Cortex data marts.
- Implement incremental refresh, volume reduction, and row‑level security (RLS).
- Define and enforce Power BI development standards, naming conventions, documentation, and workspace governance.
- Manage deployment pipelines, version control, and workspace organization.
- Diagnose and resolve refresh, data‑quality, and performance issues.
- Advise business units on analytics requirements and promote best‑practice visualisation.
- Explore and pilot new Power BI features (AI, ML, natural language queries).
**Required Skills**
*Technical*
- Expert DAX and Power Query (M) proficiency.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Extensive experience with Google BigQuery optimization.
- Knowledge of dimensional modeling and data‑warehouse concepts.
- Familiarity with SAP data structures (Cortex) preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, or supply‑chain environments.

**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Preferred: Microsoft certifications such as PL‑300 (Power BI Data Analyst) or DP‑500 (Designing and Implementing Enterprise‑Scale Analytics).
- Additional pluses: certifications in Power Platform, knowledge of Python/R, Git/DataOps practices, and experience with other BI tools (Tableau, Qlik).
