**Job title:** Algorithmic Power Trader
**Role Summary:**
Design, develop, and optimise intraday power trading algorithms to maximise profitability and manage risk across European markets, while collaborating with quantitative analysts and traders to refine models and execution strategies.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop, implement, and continuously optimise high‑frequency trading strategies for intraday power markets.
- Back‑test, validate, and refine algorithms using historical and real‑time data analytics.
- Monitor algorithmic performance, troubleshoot issues, and fine‑tune models to enhance profitability.
- Collaborate with quantitative analysts to improve predictive models and pricing signals.
- Coordinate with trade execution teams to ensure efficient order routing and minimal slippage.
- Track market developments, regulatory updates, and emerging technologies to keep strategies competitive.
- Document algorithm logic, parameter changes, and performance results for audit and compliance.
**Required Skills:**
- 3+ years of proven algorithmic trading experience in intraday power markets.
- Strong programming expertise in Python, C++, or equivalent high‑performance languages.
- Deep knowledge of European power market structures, pricing dynamics, and regulatory frameworks.
- Proficiency in statistical modelling, time‑series analysis, and machine‑learning techniques.
- Expertise in risk management, including P&L attribution, position limits, and stress testing.
- Ability to develop, back‑test, and deploy high‑frequency strategies on real‑time platforms.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Physics, Finance, Engineering, or related quantitative field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) are a plus but not mandatory.
