Job Description
Job title: IT Security and Infrastructure Manager Role Summary: Own design, implementation, and operation of core on‑premises and cloud technology platforms. Lead security baselines, network architecture, infrastructure projects, and operational excellence across all environments. Expactations: Deliver secure, stable, highly available infrastructure while aligning with strategic objectives and budgets. Demonstrate strong stakeholder communication, customer service, and continuous improvement mindset. Key Responsibilities: - Design, deploy, and manage servers, networks, storage, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure). - Define and enforce security baselines, guardrails, and compliance controls (firewalls, NAC, VLANs, VPNs, BGP). - Configure tenant security – Entra ID, M365, Intune, conditional access, device compliance, data protection. - Oversee patching, vulnerability remediation, incident response, and security monitoring. - Manage disaster recovery, backup, and storage solutions (SAN/NAS). - Lead infrastructure projects, translate business requirements into technical roadmaps, and drive continuous improvement. - Create and maintain detailed documentation, runbooks, and change management processes. Required Skills: - Advanced networking (switch/Routers, VLANs, NAC, VPN, routing protocols, firewall management). - Cloud expertise (AWS – cost optimisation, scaling; Azure fundamentals). - Virtualisation (VMware, Hyper‑V, Nutanix) and DR strategies. - Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, Office 365 administration. - Security frameworks, RBAC, endpoint protection, patch management. - Scripting (PowerShell; Python or batch scripting) and automation/task scheduling. - Strong communication, stakeholder management, documentation, and project coordination. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Relevant certifications preferred: Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, VMware Certified Professional, or equivalent.
