Job Description
**Job Title:** VP Procurement **Role Summary:** Strategic leader responsible for developing and executing global procurement strategies, driving cost‑effective sourcing, supplier management, and procurement technology adoption across all divisions. Acts as a hands‑on partner to operations, finance, engineering, and product teams, reporting to the VP of Operations Excellence and influencing senior leadership. **Expectations:** - Align procurement initiatives with overall business objectives and growth plans. - Deliver measurable cost‑savings and risk‑mitigation outcomes. - Ensure compliance with legal, trade, and ethical standards. - Maintain high supplier performance and internal customer satisfaction. - Lead digital transformation and automation of procurement processes. - Travel 10‑15% domestically and internationally for meetings and plant visits. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and implement global sourcing strategies and supplier partnership models. - Negotiate high‑value contracts to optimize pricing, terms, and risk allocation. - Develop and track supplier performance metrics; conduct regular evaluations and communications. - Analyze procurement data to identify savings opportunities and present insights to senior leadership. - Oversee procurement automation projects and integration with ERP/analytics tools. - Ensure consistent procurement best practices across all operating units. - Collaborate with finance, operations, engineering, and product management to align sourcing needs. - Lead a team of procurement professionals, providing coaching and performance management. **Required Skills:** - Expertise in global sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management. - Strong knowledge of procurement software, ERP systems, and data analytics tools. - Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder‑management abilities. - Proven problem‑solving and decision‑making in fast‑paced environments. - Ability to balance strategic vision with operational execution. - Leadership experience managing cross‑functional teams. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field (required). - MBA or Master’s in Engineering or related discipline (preferred). - Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or equivalent certification (preferred). - Minimum 10 + years of procurement experience, with 5 + years in leadership roles, preferably in a global manufacturing setting.
