AI Product Developer (AI Foundry)
**Role Summary**
Design, develop, and maintain AI copilots, intelligent agents, plugins, connectors, and LLM workflows. Build scalable, secure components for prompt orchestration, retrieval layers, automation flows, and model interfaces, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and responsible AI practices.
**Expectations**
Deliver production‑ready AI solutions that are secure, scalable, and compliant with responsible AI principles. Demonstrate rapid prototyping, effective testing, and mentorship of cross‑functional teams, while contributing reusable assets to the AI Foundry library.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design and implement Copilot Studio solutions, intelligent agents, and connectors.
- Build prompt orchestration, retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG), vector embeddings, and metadata strategies.
- Integrate AI components with enterprise APIs, data platforms, and security frameworks.
- Conduct rapid prototyping to validate feasibility, UX, model behaviour, and performance.
- Apply secure‑by‑design and responsible AI practices (guardrails, monitoring, auditability).
- Develop and maintain observability: logging, telemetry, and LLM performance monitoring.
- Create reusable prompt libraries, agent templates, connectors, test harnesses, and documentation.
- Translate design artefacts into build‑ready specifications and solution designs.
- Co‑define testing strategies and performance thresholds with the AI Test Lead.
- Mentor low‑/no‑code and professional teams on safe AI adoption.
- Maintain a library of development artefacts, patterns, and reusable assets to elevate Foundry maturity.
**Required Skills**
- AI/LLM development with experience in Copilot Studio or equivalent.
- Prompt orchestration, retrieval‑augmented generation, vector embeddings, and RAG pipelines.
- Secure‑by‑design architecture, responsible AI (transparency, explainability, ISO/IEC 42001).
- API integration, enterprise system connectivity, and data platform integration.
- Rapid prototyping, user experience validation, and performance tuning.
- Observability: logging, telemetry, LLM monitoring, and incident triage.
- Documentation, build‑ready specifications, and reusable asset creation.
- Strong communication, mentorship, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar AI development languages.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related field.
- 3–5 years of AI product development experience.
- Certifications in AI/ML engineering or cloud AI services (e.g., Azure AI Engineer Associate) are a plus but not mandatory.
