Job Description
**Job Title** Programme Support Officer – Acquisitions & Disposals **Role Summary** Provide administrative and analytical support for the Defence Estate Acquisitions & Disposals team. Deliver accurate management reporting, monitor budgets and expenditures, assist procurement and contract activities, and maintain program data integrity to enable timely disposal and acquisition decisions. **Expactations** - Enable the Head of Acquisitions & Disposals to meet programme KPIs through reliable reporting and cost control. - Ensure procurement processes comply with MOD policies and support contract administration. - Facilitate cross‑functional communication among internal stakeholders and external partners (local planning authorities, contractors, military units). - Contribute to forecasting, budgeting and benefits realization for disposal/ acquisition pipelines. **Key Responsibilities** - Compile and distribute regular programme performance reports covering performance, risks, issues, and budget status. - Track and reconcile programme expenditure against forecasts and benefit metrics. - Support procurement lifecycle: prepare spend plans, issue RFQs/RFPs, evaluate vendor responses, and assist in contract award and close‑out. - Assist in contract management tasks such as service level monitoring, payment processing and issue resolution. - Maintain accurate programme data in centralised PMO systems and generate ad‑hoc analyses as required. - Liaise with legal, finance, and operational teams to resolve programme dependencies. - Attend internal and external meetings, representing the A&D programme when necessary. **Required Skills** - Strong analytical and reporting abilities. - Proficient with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and data visualization tools. - Sound understanding of procurement and contract administration principles. - Effective written and verbal communication; stakeholder‑management skills. - Detail‑oriented with excellent time‑management and organisational capabilities. - Ability to work autonomously and within a cross‑functional team in a dynamic environment. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Property Management, Finance, Law or a related discipline. - Relevant certifications such as PRINCE2, PMI‑PMP, or Property Surveyor qualification are advantageous. - Knowledge of UK Land Act or Defence Estate procurement frameworks is desirable.
