Job Title: Software Engineer II
Role Summary
Software Engineer II responsible for designing, developing, supporting, and optimizing employee-facing applications across desktop, mobile, and hosted environments. Works collaboratively with internal stakeholders and third‑party vendors to deliver secure, scalable solutions that enhance workforce productivity.
Expectations
Deliver high‑quality code and reliable support for existing and new applications within defined SLAs. Lead technical design discussions, enforce security and architectural standards, and drive continuous improvement of development processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain desktop and mobile solutions, including API integrations and infrastructure automation.
- Provide ongoing application support: troubleshoot tickets (Jira, ServiceNow), perform root‑cause analysis, and coordinate resolution with internal teams and external vendors.
- Participate in performance testing, validation, tuning, and capacity planning for production services.
- Contribute to technical estimates, project planning, and deployment strategy (CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration).
- Enforce security, compliance, and governance across system changes, including vulnerability remediation and patch management.
- Mentor junior engineers and share best practices to elevate team delivery.
- Evaluate new solutions, propose Proof‑of‑Concepts, and recommend enhancements to improve employee experience and operational efficiency.
Required Skills
Databases (design & administration), Application Support, AWS, Azure, API Integrations, Python, Java, Kubernetes, ECS, Fargate, Docker, Terraform, Strapi, Windows Server, log4j, configuration management.
Tools & Practices: Jira, ServiceNow, governance frameworks, remediation, test planning, problem solving, RFP analysis, mitigation strategies.
Required Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, or related field (or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training). Minimum 4 years of professional software engineering experience.
